Locked Serial Port unlocking on Paradox control panel

Instructions how to unlock the Serial Port of the new PARADOX alarm system control panels ending with "+" (SP5500+, SP6000+, SP7000+ and MG5050+) and EVO192*, EVOHD* (*Fw. 7.50+ above).

Trikdis developers released a firmware update in January 2023 that allows the E16 and G16 communicators to continue to work directly with these control panels, but the serial port must be unlocked first.

Request unlock code!

  1. Open the Insite Gold app on your phone and press the menu button (3 horizontal lines) in the upper right corner.
  2. Go to the installer menu (Installer section) and log in. (Approved registration is required.)
  3. Press the 3 dots in the upper right corner and select Unlock Panel.
  4. Enter the serial number (S/N, serial number) of the panel you want to unlock! Multiple control panels can be unlocked at the same time (max. 25). Each panel costs $5.
  5. Enter the billing information, then fill in the bank card information for payment and pay!
  6. Normally, the invoice and the unlocking code will be sent to you in an e-mail within a few minutes. The unlock codes can be reviewed at any time in the purchase history menu.

Unlocking the control panel

  1. The supported keypads for inputting the unlock code are K32LCD, 32LCD+, K641, K641+, K641R, K656, TM50 and TM70. Connect the keypad to the control panel.
  2. Enter the installer menu, and enter
    1. for SP5500+, SP6000+, SP7000+ and MG5050+ to section 300
    2. and for EVO192*, EVOHD* (*Fw. 7.50+) to section 3000.
  3. Here you will see SERIAL LOCKED. Enter the code received from Paradox! If the unlock code is input correctly, the keypad will emit a confirmation beep, respectively a rejection beep for an incorrect code. Log out and check back. You have succeeded if you will see "SERIAL UNLOCKED".

You're done. If the keypad will not be part of the system, it can be deleted by restoring the factory settings. It is recommended to do this before you start the installation / programming.
